Kualitas Tidur Tidak Mempengaruhi Kecerdasan Emosional pada Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas

Abstract
Masa remaja merupakan periode penting dalam perkembangan individu yang melibatkan berbagai aspek seperti fisik, mental, emosional, dan sosial. Kecerdasan emosional (EQ) menjadi faktor kunci dalam mengelola tantangan emosional pada masa ini. Salah satu faktor yang diduga mempengaruhi kecerdasan emosional adalah kualitas tidur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas tidur dan kecerdasan emosional pada siswa SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional dilakukan pada siswa SMA Al-Azhar pada bulan Agustus - Oktober 2018. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) dan Emotional Intelligence Questionnare Midcentral District Transformational Leadership Program. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan uji Chi-Square dan uji Fisher. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden mengalami kualitas tidur buruk (96,4%) dan memiliki kecerdasan emosional tinggi (69,3%). Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara kualitas tidur dan kecerdasan emosional, namun siswa dengan kualitas tidur baik cenderung memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mereka yang memiliki kualitas tidur buruk. Kesimpulannya kualitas tidur tidak mempengaruhi kecerdasan emosional pada siswa SMA Al-Azhar Kelapa Gading Jakarta Utara. Penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk menginvestigasi faktor-faktor lain yang mungkin memengaruhi kecerdasan emosional pada masa remaja.
